Navitec Marine Services was founded in 1979 as an independent industrial workshop specialized in general ship repairs. As they are permanently and exclusively active in the day to day business of shipping, they can ensure the best possible services for their customers. In their workshop they are fully equipped for all ship repairs. This is also the starting point for their roadside assistance team. For their interventions they have a fleet of more than 20 vehicles (cars, vans, trucks and mobile cranes).
Cargo securing
The Port of Antwerp is a logistics hub for all of central Europe. Next to a long tradition in petroleum products and the climbing container traffic, it is also widely used for shipping non-standard items.
Given their nature of fast response and delivering high quality hot works (cutting and welding) with flexible mobile teams, Navitec was soon asked to fix and retrieve cargo securing stoppers and D-rings on sea-going vessels.
Over the years they have gained extensive experience with all kinds of standard and not so standard cargo securing.
Their welders are supported bytheir state-of-the-art workshop with a high-tech laser cutting table, capable of fabricating all sorts and sizes of stoppers on short notice.
Gangway rental
When in port a gangway plays a vital part in a vessels operations. Unfortunately, gangways too get damaged during voyage or cargo operations.
At Navitec they are not only equipped to repair ganway damage, they also supply replacement gangways in case the repair can’t be executed onsite.
Apart from that, they also rent out our gangways for other purposes like:
- Pontoon access
- Secondary vessel access
- Barges
- …
